대학도서관 멀티미디어실에 대한 이용자 만족도 분석

Abstract

대학도서관 멀티미디어실과 관련된 기존 연구의 경우, 대학도서관 멀티미디어실에 관한 각종 요구충족 및 서비스 개선을 위한 연구가 다수 있었으나, 연구 범위와 데이터 분석방법이 제한적으로 이루어져 왔다. 주요 미비점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학도서관 멀티미디어실 전공계열 및 이용행태에 입각한 만족도 차이를 식별하지 않았다. ‘둘째, 전체만족도에 영향을 끼치는 도서관 제반 요인의 영역(자료, 자료검색, 장비 및 시설, 서비스 담당자)만족도간의 차이를 식별하지 못하였다. 셋째, 개선방안 도출과 관련하여 ‘이용자’ 집단만을 조사대상으로 하였으며, ‘서비스 담당자’들의 의견을 조사대상에 포함되지 않았다는 부분이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학도서관 멀티미디어실 현황과 이용자 만족도 조사를 통해 현재의 대학도서관 멀티미디어실의 상황을 진단 후, 첫째, 대학도서관 멀티미디어실 이용자 전공계열이 이용행태에 끼치는 영향을 알아보고, 둘째, 멀티미디어실 이용자 만족도에 영향을 끼치는 영역만족도 요인들과 전체만족도간의 관계를 규명하고, 셋째, 이용자 및 서비스 담당자가 제시하는 대학도서관 멀티미디어실의 개선점을 발견하고자 하였다. 연구 과정에는 문헌조사 및 현장조사와 이용자 대상의 설문조사, 서비스 담당자 대상의 면접조사를 병행하였다. 본 연구에서의 분석결과를 토대로 한 제언 사항은 다음과 관련되는데, 첫째, 장비 및 시설의 확충 필요성, 둘째, 자료의 확충 필요성, 셋째, 이용자 교육의 확대 필요성 등이다.|While a number of studies have been conducted on the efforts to meet the requirements for multimedia rooms in academic libraries and improve their service, they have limitations both in the research scope and in the data analysis methods. The principal limitations of the studies are as follows: First, they didn't investigate the variation in user satisfaction with multimedia rooms in university libraries by users' major areas and utilization behaviors. Second, they didn't investigate the variation in user satisfaction with diverse library areas―for example, resources, search screens, equipment and facilities, service providers―which could affect user satisfaction in general. Third, consideration was only given to the user group, with no consideration of service providers' opinions, in presenting an improvement scheme. Accordingly, this study aimed to examine the current conditions of multimedia rooms in university libraries through a survey on their status and user satisfaction and then, first, to examine how users' major fields and utilization behaviors affect user satisfaction for the multimedia rooms in university libraries; second, to determine the relationships between the area satisfaction factors affecting multimedia room user satisfaction and satisfaction in general; and third, to discover what to improve at multimedia rooms in university libraries, as indicated by users and service providers. This study involved literature review, field research, a survey in users, and interviews with service providers. On the basis of the results, the suggestions relate to the improvements of the followings: equipments and facilities, resources, and user education.
