- 영문초록 포함|This study is intended to inquire into the reality of private institute education and its improvement. As a result of analysis, the following conclusion was made :
Firstly, as for the purpose of private institute education both parents and their children as students perceived, the group of parents aimed the purpose of private school education at the improvement of their children's school records. The group of schoolchildren was shown to perceive that the development of talents, social relationship and human relationship were more important than anything else. As for the effect of taking lectures in the private institute, parents responded that it consisted in the development of character. On the other hand, schoolchildren were shown to perceive that it helped them improve school records. Thus, it can be seen that both parents and their schoolchildren perceived differently concerning the purpose and effect of private institute education.
Secondly, it was shown that private institute education generally placed a burden on schoolchildren's parents in economic terms in relation to the burden of private institute education. In particular, it was found that the boredom of going to private institute and remote distance to the private institute put a burden on schoolchildren. It can be said that it is the problem of private instituted education that economic burden is greatly placed on the household to an extent that private institute education places a burden on the household in terms of social education.
Thirdly, what stands out most as the problem of private institute education was shown to include the poor quality of teachers and the immaturity of the teaching method on the part of parents. On the part of schoolchildren, it included impersonality and insincerity. It can be seen here that both parents and schoolchildren present a problem as to the quality of teachers commonly. This is pertaining to the qualitative problem of private institute education and indicates that the private institute needs quality teachers and teacher armed with quality and compentence as true teachers should teach schoolchildren.
Fourthly, parents responded that the effect of private institute education was moderate while schoolchildren highly responded that it was great. It can be said that it is due to the fact that parents regard the improvement of school record as effective while their schoolchildren base the criterion for the effect of private institute education on the social effect and human relations.
Fifthly, as to the influence private institute education exerts on schooling, both the side of parents and the side of their schoolchildren perceived to be positive, which indicates that private institute or school is necessary for school education. They perceived that private institute education exerted an influence on the part schooling did not satisfy, especially the improvement of school records in schoolchildren's school learning. In particular, in point of the use of the cultural facility or the visit of several social institutions in terms of social education, the private institute education is in charge of the parts insufficient in human nature education and social education that schooling is not dealing with enough. Therefore, it can be said that private institute education is the education needed for schoolchildren.
