學級擔任敎師의 役割遂行에 대한 學父母의 期待水準에 관한 硏究

Abstract
School education in mostly carried out through the class, which is the basic unit of school education. In particular, now that the teacher in charge of the particular class in the primary school chiefly instructs curricular instruction and educational activity, the teacher in charge of the class comes to exert a great influence on schoolchildren in the midst of the interaction between the teacher in charge of the class and schoolchildren with the class. Accordingly, the role of teacher in charge of the class in the primary school comes to count for much.
This study is aimed at identifying the role of the teacher in charge of the class that schoolchildren's parents expert in terms of the teacher's personality trait learning guidance, life guidance, and human relations, among the factors that the teacher in charge of the class comes to discuss and experience conflicts often in the course of that he / she performs a role on the educational field of the primary school, and at obtaining material for his / her role to be efficiently performed.
To carry out the purpose of this study, the following content of study was set :
Firstly, inquiring into the personality trait of the teacher in charge of the class that schoolchildren's parents expect.
Secondly, inquiring into learning instruction that schoolchildren's parents expect from the teacher in charge of the class.
Thirdly, discussing life guidance that schoolchildren's parents expect from the teacher in charge of the class.
Fourthly, refering to human relations that schoolchildren's parents expect from the teacher in charge of the class.
As a methodology of study, the dwelling place of schoolchildren's parents was divided into four steps, 360 parents of schoolchildren in the primary school within Seoul and North Chungcheong Province were sampled, and the questionnaire was made out that asked schoolchildren's parents 4 domains such as general trait, learning instruction, life guidance, and human relations of the teacher in charge of the class, and then the questionnaires were distributed and recovered. The findings obtained from the questionnaire research were divided into ones by schoolchildren's gender by the established form of the school, by dwelling place, by age. And by academic background, the frequency and percentage by each item were calculated, and the degree of significance was determined by x²-test. As a result, the following conclusion was drawn :
Firstly, schoolchildren's parents were shown to prefer the male teacher in general in terms of their preference for the gender of the teacher in charge of the class, and the teacher of the 30s and 40s at age in ascending orders in terms of age. It was shown that schoolchildren's parents expected the teacher in charge of the class to be gentle, upright, hospitable and thoughtful.
Secondly, the subject of learning instruction must become children, and the teacher must help them to be able to solve a problem by themselves. And it was shown that an estimation of their learning should be made once a month, and schoolchildren's parent expected that it would be desirable for the teacher to impose the one-hour quantity of assignment(homework) on schoolchildren.
Thirdly, since the behavior of the teacher in charge of the class exerts an influence on schoolchildren in the primary school, the teach should show a exemplary attitude of life all the time. And it was shown that schoolchildren's parents expected the teacher in charge of the class to instruct schoolchildren about obligation as man rather than place emphasis on the conveyance of knowledge.
Fourthly, it was shown that schoolchildren's parents thought affirmatively of the effect of educational counselling and expected the teacher in charge of the class to lead a life while keeping an etiquette in a social life outside the school.
