初等敎師의 價値觀에 관한 硏究
- Abstract
- I. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
Out of cosideration for that with the importance of education being emphasized in rapidly changing society, the infuluence of an absolute constituent of education, the teacher, on students is so great, a strdy on the influence of the tea-cher's view of value on children is regarded to have a great meaning for the improvement of educational effect and the development of future education.
In the study, its purpose is, based on the investigated data on how the tea-cher's view of value influences on the students's general view of value, then rightly understand teachers, and acquire educational data for the next generation.
II. METHOD OF STUDY
In the method of study, study on the literature concerning the teacher's view of value was based on in the first place, then the theoretical background was achieved, and through some precedent studies, while refining concepts, data by means of some questionnaires were analysed and groped for
For the shbjects of the study, 250 elementary school teachers who were resi-ding in a central city, chunan, and in Chunan-gun in S.Choongchung-province were randomly sampled, and for the result of examination, percentages were used with regard to area, sex, career of teaching, and educational background.
III. CONCLUSION
1. About 60% of subjective elementary school teachers had a sense of duty on their teaching profession.
2. Only 20% of the whole subjects were satisfied with their theaching profess-ion.
3. Those elementary school teachers were more and less positive on school ad-ministration and its systems.
4. Since those elementary school teachers showed a reaction that 'personal-ity' is the most important in human relations, it indicated that teachers themselves regarded the view of educational value vevy important
5. Those teachers showed a reaction that their children had better choose to be a 'business man' rather to be a 'teacher' That is, 62.5% of the whole subjects showed 'disagreement' in that their children choose to be a tea-cher.
IV. SUGGESTIONS
1. In the first place, for teachers to have the stability of liing so that they give full play to their ability, an epoch-making scheme should be searched for.
2. What form the root and trunk of personnel management in teaching profe-ssion, 1)engagement of competent persons, 2)development of abiliy 3)study on the volition of service and control or adjustment of systems, are absolu-tely required.
3. For creating good environment of education throughout the whole society, home, school, and society all these-should give effort and cooperation to school.
