중고령 근로자 퇴직에 관한 정책 방안 연구

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to review the middle and the aged workers' retirement and their job life, assumig that many of them may be laid off earlier.
Recently, due to accelerating industrialization, information-intensiveness and urbanization, it seems inevitable that many middle-aged and old workers have to retire earlier(honorabley).
In view of those middle and the aged workers who have children still being educated or dependent financially, such an earlier retirement many well be a crisis in their life.
In other words, only for the reason that they are not young, they are being alienated at their workplaces of forced to retire earlier. In order to find more specific facts about such an earlier retirement, a positive questionnaire survey was conducted.
For the survey, such workers as large company workers, small and medium business workers, bankers and teachers were sampled.
As a result of analyzing the data collected from the survey, it was found that the majority of such workers whose employment was considered relatively stable felt unstable for their retirement under age limit, and in particular, bankers felt most unstable for their job stability.
On the other hand, it was also found that the majority of the subject workers had no plan after their retirement under age limit.
The hardest difficult anticipated by the workers after their retirement was "psychological lonelines", followed by financial difficulty and childern's education or rearing. Most of the workers wanted to be reemployed after thier retirement.
The above findings suggest that the workers need to be allowed to manage their career and be trained for reemployment at the level of government or employers.
Based on the findings and discussions, some policy alternatives are suggested for middle and the aged workers.
