全敎組 敎育運動의 背景과 評價에 관한 硏究
- Abstract
- The main purpose of this study is to make an inquiry into the background and evaluation of the educational movement of the National Teachers' Union.
The following conclusion was drawn : Based on the perception and evaluation of the educational movement 'All Teachers' Union, the teachers themselve took an initiative and the research study on the opinion of the teachers' Union, the teachers themselve took an initiative and the research study on the opinion of the teachers' organization, and the conclusive matters were as follows:
Firstly, the most controversial issue was concerning the true educational theory, the objective of the educational movement by National Teachers' Union, but in contrast to the assertion by govenment that its members were radical and pro-communist 97 percent of the teachers in active service totally agreed to true education(38percent) and partially agreed to it(59 percent). The reason for their agreement to true education is that only true education can establish our education correctly and point out the conflict of education. Accordingly it can be said that the right-or-wrong logic or ideological dispute about true education has lost persuosion.
Secondly, National Teachers' Union and government showed many differences about the teacher's labor-occupation view in conjunction with the requirement of the legalization of National Teachers' Union. The claim that National Teachers' Union should be legalizied was judged to be illegal because there was a legal ground for it.
But teachers are thinking that the trade union is needed in view of the tide of the times in connection with the formation of the trade union, and they are showing their positive responses to the labor-job view of the teaching profession. and 43 percent of teachers voiced their opinion, that the members in National Teachers' Union should be recognized in three labor rights and the union be legalized, and further it is judged that the view that National Teachers' Union should be guaranteed in activity though not legalized indicates the concern for and awakening of the actual problem of our education manifested by the education movment by National Teachers' Union for the years.
Thirdly, regardless of the effort to readjust the organization of the Korean Federation of Teachers' Association and establish its phase, its function and role as the teachers' group are still opaque, and the organization does not satisfactorily perform its role in protecting teachers' rights and benefits. So, it was shown that teachers hope that the organization of the teachers' group will be pluralized through the method of establishing a new teachers' group.
