아르누보와 韓國 傳統 문양의 造形的 특성을 응용한 헤어스타일 硏究

Abstract

Classic hair-style has become one of the way that represents a social phenomenon, it has been treated an important part of reflection the nation's emotions and tastes in the study. Art Nouveau is the most powerful art movement of an era since the industrial revolution, that was contemporary the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty Korea. In this study, analysis traditional two patterns (Art Nouveau and the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty Korea), find similarities. Analysis of Eastern and Western aesthetic values, what evaluate their impact with the hair-style on society.

In addition, traditional pattern focused on the natural pattern shown by Art Nouveau and Joseon Dynasty, propose the creative hair-style according to the combination and the harmony of East and West. Accordingly research result, establish organic lines of hair-style in the Art Nouveau era and the Joseon Dynasty era, then, the organic lines of hair by two-dimensional curves and three-dimensional curves in combination with the application.

Study methods are review of the characteristics and types of Art Nouveau's and Korea traditional pattern, compare and analysis similarities and differences of results.

First, analysis similarities and differences of the hair style of Art Nouveau and the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty Korea.

Based on this, 6 points in the classic works of the new hair-styles are presented. These works commonly seen by Art Nouveau and Korea's traditional patterns supamun, gureummun, the arabesque, they were motived by creative traditional hair-styles designs. Also, they were combined with unique features due to the differences between traditional designs and creative hair-styles of Art Nouveau and South Korea.

General conclusions of work productions were as follows.

First, similarities could be found of between the two types patterns supamun, gureummun, and arabesque that appeared in the Joseon Dynasty patterns and the other type, paintings, architecture, craft that appeared in the Art Nouveau.

Second, it could find a soft curvy from the elements of the plant with the organic curves of Art Nouveau designs from soft pompadour hair-style and chignon decoration.

Third, the Art Nouveau's hair-styles shows natural beauty using their own head, instead of using of artificial hair wigs. Joseon Dynasty hairstyle shows Reduce the volume of the chignon decoration to switch the natural look of aristocrat and the courtesan.

Fourth, Hair-styles of the Art Nouveau era S shows decoration beauty of curl Wave and Curl C are shown. Also, repetitive twisting curves of he Joseon Dynasty hair-style shows beauty, that braid and twist feel different depending on the thickness of chignon.

Fifth, the hair-styles of the Art Nouveau era of the Joseon Dynasty show off its wealth and friendship symbol beauty. According to, two eras similarities of beauty of a sculpture show curvaceous, decoration beauty and natural beauty.

Sixth, There are differences between Art Nouveau, and Korea traditional designs and hair-styles, pompadour hair-style reverse combing make the volume full head turn and to put emphasis on three-dimensional animated faces and three-dimensional curves. On the other hand, the hairs of in the Joseon Dynasty, they do not have the volume side, using chignon on the monotonous curves of bun heads, show in two-dimensional curve beauty.

This appeared in the Art Nouveau shows natural materials of organic lines and shapes using curvaceous design. The patterns of supamun, gureummun, arabesque, moranmun, nabimun, twins tigers show the natural beauty. Decorative beauty was directed through the C-shaped curve of the S-shaped braid, twist and wave. This is represented in the works. That motif symbolizes the inner feelings of the women to be represented in the works.

There are similarities in the curves of the East and West. Although, the West of the curves, filling the shapes using three-dimensional curves. In contrast, the curves in the East as the two-dimensional curves show monotonous, elegant beauty.

Through this study, we recognize the importance and excellence of the traditional culture pattern, the contrast of Art Nouveau and Korean traditional patterns show the opportunity to rediscover the value of Korea.

Also, I study creative and unique works of classic hair-style work that combine the East and the West. I expect to this study as symbolic meaning, it will be used to basis for practitioners.

Further, I propose this kind of study continue about in broadcasting classical hair-styles in the fusion traditional dramas or fusion classical hair-styles in the fashion show.
