UV바디페인팅 사례를 통한 시각적 효과의 인지도 검증

Abstract

21세기 격동의 시대로 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 실시간으로 정보 활용이 가능한 시대에 이르렀다. 다양한 미디어의 발전과 커뮤니케이션의 영향은 새로운 예술영역으로 창조되고 이러한 예술영역은 바디페인팅에 접목되어 시각예술의 한 분야로 발전되고 있다. 바디페인팅은 구체화되고 전문화되어 종합예술로써 인정받고 있으며, 미학적 표시의 매개물이 된다. 바디페인팅의 기법 중 UV바디페인팅은 근래의 주목받는 페인팅 기법으로 공연, 이벤트, 영상 등에 활용되고 있다. UV기법의 화려한 색채와 3D효과로 인해 시각예술 부분으로 영역이 확대되고 있으며, 퍼포먼스를 접목한 ‘2010야누스세미나’는 UV바디페인팅이 부각되기 시작한 계기로서 가치를 높이고 대중예술로 인식할 수 있는 발판이 되었다. 이러한 퍼포먼스를 접목한 UV바디페인팅 공연은 대중성과 순수예술성과의 간극을 좁힐 수 있는 가능성을 제시하며 새로운 장르로서 그 의미를 정립해 나가고 있다. 형식이나 개념에 얽매이지 않는 자유로운 바디이미지의 예술성과 조형성을 통해 중요성이 인식되고 있고 미적표현의 수단으로 의미가 확대되기도 한다. 바디페인팅에 관한 선행연구로 이론적 정립을 통한 작품제시 및 바디페인팅 영역 확대와 정립을 위한 탐색적 연구는 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으나 정확한 데이터를 통해 실증적 자료를 유추하는 연구는 부족한 실정에 있고, UV바디페인팅의 연구자료는 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시각효과가 극대화되고 공연물로서의 가치가 높은 UV바디페인팅의 이론을 재조명하여 UV바디페인팅의 시각적 검증 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 국내에서의 UV바디페인팅을 부각시킨 ‘2010야누스세미나’를 바탕으로 미용관련 학업에 종사하고 있는 전문가 및 대학생, 대학원생, 학원생에게 UV바디페인팅의 시각효과에 관한 설문조사를 통해서 UV바디페인팅의 인지도 및 영향력을 입증하는데 의의가 있다. UV바디페인팅은 현실의 단순한 모방이 아닌 작가의 의도와 의미에 함축하거나 제시하는 방법으로 관객과 함께 해석해야 한다. 또한 착시적 기능을 극대화하는 효과를 얻기 위해 디자인 요소, 색감요소를 표현함으로써 촉각적, 시각적 전달 기능으로 의미 있는 조형수단이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 UV바디페인팅은 시각적으로 표현할 수 있는 재료를 이용하여 몸의 일부 혹은 전체에 표현하는 것이 아닌 신체의 구조, 디자인 감각, 색채 등을 인지해야 예술적 표현이 가능하다. UV바디페인팅은 빛, 색감, 명암의 기본속성을 가지고 있고 물리적 지각효과인 색의 대비, 운동감, 원근감, 공간감에 따라 착시효과가 일어나며 색이 갖는 상징성이 심리적 연상을 유발함으로써 사람이 인지할 수 있는 지각원리를 통해 3D를 인지할 수 있다. 이러한 3D효과와 화려한 색의 속성은 무대의 블랙배경색과 조명이 함께 어우러진 발광하는 색의 변화로 인해 찬란한 광채의 효과를 극대화시킨다. 이러한 시각적 효과는 UV색감만이 가지고 있는 고유의 네온색의 감각이 있기 때문이다. 본 연구를 통해서 UV바디페인팅은 시각적으로 관심이 부각되는 현대사회에서 인간에게 시각적 감각은 다른 감각요소나 언어에 비해 인지력과 해상력이 뛰어나다는 결과를 알 수 있었다. 또한 시각이라는 감각은 인류에게 언어 이외의 또 다른 의사소통 방법이 되어 왔으며 이러한 인간의 능력은 회화나 사진, 바디페인팅 디지털 등 많은 영역에 영향을 미치고 있다.| The 21st century, real-time information are available these days from the age of turbulence without the constraints of time and space. The development of a variety of media and communications in the affected area are creating into a new art and its area is incorporated into the body painting to develop the visual arts. Body painting is refined and specialized to be recognized as a comprehensive art. and display is a medium of aesthetic. From the techniques of body painting, UV body painting gets attention recently to utilize for performances, events, images, etc. Because of the splendid colors and 3D effects of UV techniques, the area of UV techniques has been expanded to the visual arts. ‘Janus seminar 2010’ said, UV body painting has begun as a valuable opportunity to increase public art. With all these UV body painting performance provide a possibility to narrow the gap between popularity and fine arts. It is also free from any type of concepts and use as artistic expression. As a preliminary study on body painting works through the theoretical formulation proposed expansion area has been continuously studied, but the actual data is not sufficient for UV body painting. In this study, visual effects and performance of UV body painting would be revisited in several ways to provide a visual verification of the data. According to ‘Janus seminar 2010’ who highlighted UV body painting nationally, it is significant to prove influential by a survey of the visual effects of UV body painting from relevant academic experts and college students. UV body painting should be interpreted with the real intention of the author and audience. In addition, to maximize the optical illusion effects, design and color elements are expressed. Moreover, UV body painting has been used visual materials to express body structure, sense of design and color in artistic way rather than particular body pat or the entire body. UV body painting has the basic properties such as light, color and contrast, and visual illusion is appeared by physical theories, effect of color contrast and sense of space. People could perceive 3D through the principle of perceptual. Properties of these 3D effects and colorful lighting maximize the effectiveness of colorful light with stage lighting. Because of the neon color are unique, it helps with the visual effects of UV body painting. Through this study, UV body painting has better perspective results and resolution power than other human factors or sensory perception in a visually prominent modern society. Furthermore, visual sense is used as another way to communicate to human and its ability affects many other areas such as, conversation, pictures and body painting digital.
