창작 오페라 '사랑의 원자탄'에 나타난 성격분장에 관한 연구

Abstract

무대 공연에서의 분장은 종합예술기능의 한 분야로서 배우의 성격을 정확하게 극본이 요구하는 인물화 시켜 관객들로 하여금 필요한 성격적 사실을 구체적으로 이해시키는 의사전달 수단이 된다. 우리나라는 양적, 질적 문화발전으로 무대 공연의 내용뿐만 아니라 조명. 의상, 무대장식 등의 표현매체도 예전과 달리 다양해졌다. 분장사를 필요로 하는 분야인 뷰티 산업, 패션 산업, 광고 산업, 영화 산업 등 기타문화 예술계의 체계적인 역할분석 및 분장에 대한 이론적 체계의 미확립, 작품이 요구하는 극중 인물 창조와 분장의 중요성에 대한 인식 부족 등으로 우리나라 무대 분장은 전근대적인 발전 단계를 벗어나지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 분장을 효과적으로 창출해내기 위해서는 분장사가 추상적 감각에만 의존하는 방법보다는 충분한 자료연구와 계획을 통해 등장인물을 창조해야하는 것을 강조하였다. 즉 분장사는 작품에 대한 면밀한 분석 및 대본을 충분히 검토하여 배우들의 성격을 파악한 후 분장 작업 계획서를 작성하고 이를 기초로 한 실제 작업을 통해야만 연출의도에 적합한 인물상을 창조 할 수 있다는 것을 인식하고자 하였다. 본 본문에서는 우리나라 무대 분장 분야를 좀 더 논리적이고 체계적으로 발전시키기 위한 것으로 인상학적 관점에 의해 체계적인 작업을 수행해봄으로써 무대 분장의 구체적인 접근 방법을 제시하고, 우리나라 분장 분야의 발전을 모색하기 위한 것에 그 목적이 있다. 본 논문을 바탕으로 앎으로 보다 더 다양하고 구체적인 후속연구들에 의해 학문적 차원에서 지속적인 연구가 요구된다고 본다.|In stage performances, make-up is an element of the composite art. It is a means of communication designed ti precisely figure actor’s or actress’ characteristics and thereby, help the audience understand the performance specifically. Currently in Korea, as the stage perfomances have developed in both terms of quantity and quality, such elements as lighting, costume, stage setting and other media of expressions have been more diversified. Make-up is much required by beauty industry, fashion industry, advertising industry, film industry and other cultural or art industries. However, make-up has yet to be based on a systematic analysis of characters’ roles and theories, while people are Iess aware of the role played by make-up to create desired characters. As a result, our stage make-up may be still at its infant stage. With such basic conceptions in mind, study was aimed at finding the ways to create desirable make-up effects. Make-up artists should create characters through sufficient research and pan rather than rely on their senses. Namely, make-up artist are requested to carefully analyze the works and scripts to understand characters and thereupon, design a make-up plan and create the characters fitting the requirements of production. The purpose of this study was develop our stage make-up in a more logical and systematic way and therefore, apply a more systematic make-up practice in view of physiognomy, and thereby, explore the way to develop our make-up art. Lastly, it is hoped that this study will be followed up by future studies approaching make-up in more diversified and specific ways.
