The Stone is the only one up to the present time in Korea, and the inscriptions on the stone are well-maintained without any damage. The stone 63 has a very sihnificant value metallurgically, too.
The Stone was found for the first time by the researcher in November, 1994 and was assigned as a provincial treasure.
The Stone is granite. On the front of the stone was written. The intruders will be punisher by the law. The Stone is 147cm. tall, 23cm. thick and 55cm. wide.
After thorough study the content of the inscriptions and the King's diary, we can that it was built in 1504. The inscriptions are recognized a good research subject for the history of Korean laws.
The records of the inscriptions were often quoted in. The Diary of King YEONSAHN'S about his reign of twelve years. The district was limited to the surbubs of the capital before his reign of ten years, but just before his reihn of 12 years, the district was enpanded to the area within 43 km. The three generations of the intruders were killed or were hanged.
The inscriptions trace its origin to China. In China the Kings mainly used the district for theit hunting, but King YEONSAHN used the district for his own entertainment and rest. The kings before for his reign used the district for hunting or military exercises, but the Kiing used the district for his pesonal entertainment and pleasure with his court kisaengs, Accordingly the area was dcvasted badly, and the villagers around the district were suffered very much.
The King, court-ladies, care-takers and servants were allowed to enter the place. They had various responsibilities to serve the King.
Because of his obnoxious practice and rule, he was become a ctuel tyrand, and and finally was expelled from the dynasty by park Won Chong and Sung Hee Ahn and others.
The cruel ruling of King YEONSAHN was confirmed again by the researcher. Historical documetns of the inscriptions were found on the site. The study is cousidered to be archaeologically significant. At same time the study offers important research materials for legal systems of YI Dynasty.
