韓國 映畵에 나타난 팜므파탈 이미지와 캐릭터 스타일링에 관한 硏究

Abstract

Recently a lot of works on the subject of'Femme Fatale'are introduced in popular culture, the wicked woman are expressed as a socially successful and stately woman in positive sight. Femme Fatale was one of the characters such a negative woman who tempted men by her charm and achieved the goal, at the same time, led men to the ruin. Especially in the late 19th century, artists focused on her provocative and voluptuous charm. The film was born by advancements of scientific technique, style of the actresses in films completes the appearance of the character and make easy to understand story of film. In this study, the change of the woman's image with the times and the external image of Femme Fatale with character styling which includes cloths, hairstyle and makeup in prominent Korean films are analyzed. Moreover, the way of the character styling to express the femme fatale image effectively are suggested. In initial Korean film, Femme Fatale was expressed only a negative modern woman who violates the traditional norm and act socially by contrast with a wise mother and good wife style woman who keep the tradition. But, today, Femme Fatale has various images such as 'Pure', 'voluptuous', 'avant-garde', the result which researches the Femme Fatale character styling is as following. First, there is a'The image of the Modern woman'of 1950's and 1960's Korean Films. Femme Fatale of that image wore cloths of western style and has short and permanent wave hair, as opposed to the wise mother and good wife who wore the Korean traditional clothes and the rubber shoes mainly. Because of limit of black-and-white films, hues of makeup did not appear well. But, 1950's and 60's popular style appeared such thick eyebrows and clear lines and so on. Second, 'The image of the Pure woman'is used as the tool which hid the scoundrel mind, wore decorous clothes and had natural makeup which controlled colour and straight hairstyle. Third,'The image of the Voluptuous woman'which is representative image of Femme fatale, had smoky eyes makeup and out-curved red lips. That kind of Femme Fatale wore sexy clothes such as halter neck, tube top style and so on. The accessories are gorgeous and big as well, hairstyle is feminine and natural long hair, or all-back style. Last,'The image of the Avant-garde woman' which is very unique, have a makeup using unusual colour, dishevel hair. Clothes were selected strong styles mostly, used strong colour or made by material of leather or fur.
