韓國 纖維産業의 國際競爭力 强化를 위한 政策支援에 관한 硏究

Abstract

The Korean textile industry has not recently kept its own position as the exporting industry due to the sharp loss of international competitiveness caused by internal and external factors. The textile industry is frequently referred to as the declining industry, but it never fails to have a long-term vision. It is thought that the possibility of its development is enormous if its competitiveness continues to be grown through the development of new materials because the rise of the global economic life will bring about the demand for high consumption and high quality textile increasingly. It is thought that the Korean textile industry will need to receive leading politic support for the expansion of the textile industry base with focus concentrated on active material development and international market information so that it may belong to the 21th-century high- tech industry sector as it started with the exporting industry since the 1950 and contributed to Korean economic growth. The textile and sewing industry in Korea is undergoing difficulties due to a strong challenge from the latecoming backward country.
