韓國敎會의 老人福祉 實踐方案에 관한 硏究

Abstract

Most elderly people in modern society are to be alienated from their homes with problems such as poverty, diseases, idleness and loneliness in the middle of modernization and the influx of informative era. They do spend lonely old ages or in extreme case, commit suicide. It's a current situation that churches ignore the problems nevertheless they have responsibilities and mission to solve the problems and help elders fell in this situation. Therefore, churches should provide necessary programs for elders to have old ages worth while to live as possible as they can. Christianity starts with love for God and extends to the spirity of shareness which loves neighbors like the self. This study is to suggest following measures that Korean churches should practice based on the christianity. First, churches should condom elders outside of churches as well as within churches can receive welfare service based on churches. Second, pastors and church leaders should exactly recognize the problems with which elders are faced, develop and practice welfare programs for elders, and stimulate churches themselves and christians to actively join the welfare programs for elders. Third, churches should create an elderly congregation and establish an elderly welfare committee. Forth, churches should newly open a welfare account for elders in their financial budget plan and employ it.
