학문목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 영상매체활용 어휘교육 연구

Abstract

어휘의 습득은 언어를 배우고 사용하는데 가장 기본적인 언어활동이며 모든 단계의 언어 활용에는 그에 맞는 수준의 어휘 학습이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 학문목적 한국어 학습자들이 대학이나 대학원에서 수학을 할 때 필수적인 학술적 어휘를 습득하도록 하는 효율적 교수안을 제시하는데 있다. 학술적 어휘를 지도하는 효과적 방안을 강구하고자 학습 자료로 영상 매체를 선택하였는데, 음성 나래이션 없이 자막과 음향, 그리고 영상으로 메시지를 전달하고 있는 EBS ‘지식채널e’를 선정하였다. 우선 어휘력의 개념을 살핌으로써 어휘 교육의 목적을 확인하고, 영상 학습 자료인 ‘지식채널e’의 특징을 정리하였다. 2005년 9월부터 2012년 7월까지 방영된 850편의 ‘지식채널e’ 콘텐츠를 분석하여 어휘 학습에 적절한 내용을 골라 선택된 457편을 서술방법에 따라 9가지 구조로 분류하였고, 그 자막을 분석하여 학술 어휘인 사고도구어의 비율을 계산해 내었는데, 그 비율이 9.40%로 일반적 학술적 텍스트의 학술적 어휘 포함 비율인 8〜10%에 해당된다는 것을 밝혀내었다. 해당 어휘목록은 부록으로 첨부하였다. 실제 수업 모델 설계에서는 어휘지도를 활용한 5단계 교수법을 제시하였는데, 9가지 서술구조의 콘텐츠들을 갈래형과 확장형 2가지 카테고리로 나누어 각 카테고리에 해당하는 교수안을 구성하였다.| Lexical knowledge is the essential competency in language function and correspondent levels of vocabulary learning are needed on respective purposes of the learners. The purpose of this study is demonstrate teaching plans for the Korean language learners with academic purposes. In search for a way to efficiently teach academic vocabulary , EBS Jisik Channelⓔ was considered as the working material, which conveys its messages via moving typographic captions without narrations, sound effects and various images. Chapter Ⅱ scans the definitions of Lexical knowledge and purposes of vocabulary teaching, examines the subjects of every contents of EBS Jisik Channelⓔ (2009.05〜2012.07), and classifies selected 457 contents by depiction structures. Furthermore, Korean Academic Words were searched in the text of EBS Jisik Channelⓔ, and were proved to occupy over 9% of the vocabulary of its texts, which means Jisik Channelⓔ is one of the proper materials for the Korean learners with the academic purposes. The lists of Korean Academic Words in Jisik Channelⓔ are attached as appendix. In chapter Ⅲ, Teaching Plans were presented using the word maps based on 5 stages of vocabulary teaching method through the visual media. The previous 9 structures are divided into 2 categories according to the statement ways, and respective plans are provided for each categories.
