學校環境과 敎師의 職務遂行과의 關係에 관한 硏究
- Abstract
- 1) Correlation between school environment & teachers' job satisfaction appeared r=0.769 and it is interpreted that teachers work better at those school with good intraschool environment, convenient transportation & good surroundings.
2) Correlation between psychological condition & job satisfaction of teachers appeared closely related with teachers' assignment carrying-out, inferred with coefficient of correlation r=0.585 for school principals & teachers and r=0.604 for teachers & parents at P<0.001.
Teachers ability to carry out assignment appeared highly affected when principals made appreciation, respect, recognition of ability, reliability with higher job satisfaction.
3) Relationship between school's physical environment & background variables appeared 2.526 for public school's mean value & 3.320 for private school's mean value at P=0.001. And thus private schools have better environment & convenient transportation & welfare facilities to be favored by teachers, inferred with mean value of competitive school (M=2.809) & noncompetitive school(M=2.208) and semi special school (M=1.962), it is interpreted that competitive schools are favored.
4) Relationship between teachers' psychological condition & their background variables was public school teachers stayed in a school about 4 years and private school teachers stayed almost life time. Mean value of public & private school were 2.634 & 2.712 at P=0.001 respectively and it was interpreted that private school teachers were interested on psychological condition variables appeared higher than public school teachers'. Mean value on relation of school principals & teachers(M - 2.640) and senior teachers (M=2.87) showed that assignment carrying is being carried by senior teachers mostly.
5) Relationship Difference between assignment carrying out by teachers & their background variables for private & public school teachers were 2.561 & 2.463 at P=0.001 respectively so that private school teachers carried out assignment better than public school teachers. Based on the above conclusion, I would like to propose as follows;
First, there should be deeper study to remove the division between competitive & noncompetitive school to improve public school facility & school environment, since teacherssensitively perceived school facility, transportation & surrounding environment in schools' physical environment & their satisfaction with assignment carrying out.
Secondly, in the relationship between teachers' psychology & their job satisfaction, regardless of competitive & noncompetitive school, there should be provided detailed plan for teachers to carry out assignment under principle of balance in any school.
Thirdly, in the relationship between teachers' psychological condition & their background variables, there was big difference of regular arrangement between public & private school, and there occurred more problems in public school. Thus there should be provided incentive system to promote job satisfaction.
Fourthly, since the study selected objects out of very limited school teachers from Seoul, founding of the study can't be generalized simply. Thus there needs a nationwide study for the same subject.
