풍수측량을 통한 서오릉(경릉)의 사신사 분석
- Abstract
- This study is to prove the fact that Pung-su is "practice of love" and" repayment of manes" (*manes: spirits of deceased ancestors) through the research of Gyeong-reung, the first royal tomb enshrined in Seo-0-Reung (Five Mausoleums at West) Royal Cemetery. Gyeong-reung is the tomb of Jang (Deok-jong), Crown Prince of King Se-jo who died young at the age of twenty. Famous for his Pung-su expertise, King Se-jo espoused Pung-su to enhance regality during the reign of his government. In the hope of good fortune or "Bat-Bok," change in one's fortune for the better, Gyeong-reung was thoroughly planned and built by King Se-jo's adept Pung-su knowledge and sophisticated scheme to promote his continuing regime. In fact, after entombment of Gyeong-reung, King Se-jo enjoyed prosperity with his descendants succeeding his throne for a long time. This shows that Gyeong-reung is "Myoungdang," a flourishing or propitious tomb site, welt representative of Pung-su principles. In this study, Gyeong-reung is proven scientifically as Myoungdang through modern technology of geometric measurements of it's location and landform.
