初等學校 特技·適性敎育 運營實態와 改善点에 관한 硏究
- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of more effective speciality/aptitude education by extracting the problem through the investigation and analysis of the realities of speciality/aptitude education implemented in elementary school and probing its improvements.
Data from the questionnaire researrh were statistically treated using SAS(Statistical Analysis System), and perentage and chi-square test were conducted by background factor. An attempt was made to test the difference between groups at the levels of P<.05, p<.01 and P<.001. Based on the study results, the following conclusion was drawn:
First, it is necessary to develop individual speciality and talelits, alleviate private educational expenses, reinforce human-nature education and restore a trust in public education. For this purpose, the role of speciality/aptitude education in school should be further increased in the future as well as the effective operation of regular texts, special activity and discretionary activity. In-service training to reform tearchers' thoughtway should continue to be conducted at the school unit in order to induce them to have a positive thinking of and take an active part in the need for speciality/aptitude education activity.
Second, the multi-level program should be established and operated for a small number of students by forming the program in levels, giving them a wide range of choice and making individualized education possible since students differ in personality and ability. It is necessary to make joint use of instructors, facilities, learning materials and the like in the program difficult to be established and operated at the unit school due to low demand and to operate them in linkage with local educational agencies, neighboring school unions, loral authorities and youth organizations and the like.
Third, it is necessary to expand financial support further. And it is necessary to secure more excellent facilities, equipment and materials, teaching materials than those of the private educational institutions in order to reduce private expenses and introduce the extra-curricular educational activity of the private educational institutions into public education. Financial support should be innovatively expanded at the nationwide level of alleviating private educational expenses in order to open diverse programs to meet students' and their parents' needs and improve its qualitative level.
Fourth, it is necessary to alleviate the workload of teachers in charge in relation to the increase of their workload ranging from planning to operation such as research and analysis of speciality/aptitude education, the opening of programs, their organization by level, the setting of expenses, timetable operation and coordination, treatment of occasional increase in the number of persons, the securing of instructors, the reporting of results and the like. For this purpose, it is necessary to secure the departmental teacher or departmental personnel relating to speciality/aptitude education and to reinforce active support of the general-affairs room for notice of instructional charges and lecturer' fees and the like,
Fifth, incumbent teachers' guidance can not only reinforce human-nature education and facilitate guidance but contribute to the learning effect through education linked with regular textbooks. It is necessary to make active use of incumbent teachers of speciality and talent familiar with students' developmental stage and local characteristics by considering the incentives such as payment of the lecturer's fee equivalent to that of the outside instructor, the alleviation of workload and the like.
