初等學校 女性 敎員의 昇進制度와 實態에 관한 硏究

Abstract
This study was intended to investigate the reality of the promotion system for women teachers in elementary school. As a result, the following findings were summarized:
First, an attempt was made to investigate elementary women teachers' perception of the promotion system. As a result, it was found that for the biggest reason that elementary women teachers chose the teaching profession, 38.98 %, the highest proportion of them pointed out aptitude and the realization of the ability. As for attraction and of preference for the teaching profession, 57.19% of them responded that the teaching profession was attractive and preferable. And as for the reason that the teaching profession was attractive for women, 54.13% pointed out summer/winter vacation.
Second, an attempt was made to inquire into the impeding factor to the promotion of women teachers in elementary school. As for the reason that they had no time for self-training for promotion after leaving the office, it was found that 47.08% of the them pointed out housework. As for the reason that the female teaching personnel had a few educational administration and specialized positions, 39.48% of them responded that they did not want those positions by themselves. 48.27% of them responded that their level of satisfaction with the current promotion regulations were moderate.
Third, an attempt was made to investigate the remedial measures related to the promotion of women teachers in elementary school.
1) As a result, it was found that as for the question of "What would you do if you are provided with an opportunity of in-service training for self-development", 61.34% of them responded that they would take an alive part in the program. 43.87% of them responded that the open competitive examination should exist to promote female entry into the educational administration position. As to the question of "How should the appointment of women to the educational administration position" progress in the future?", 61.06% responded that it should be further promoted.
2) As to the question of "How is it good to improve the tenure system of the schoolmaster", 46.75% responded that it was good to maintain it as it stood. 41.56% of them showed a similar response. As for the reason in case the woman teacher wants to enter the educational administration position, 52.73 % responded that it was to give full play to her ability by taking advantage of her aptitude. As for the view that the ability to perform the job of the school administration position consists in the individual difference, not the gender difference. 43.73% agreed with it very much. As for the view of the proposal that a given proportion of women teachers be appointed to the administrative position in order to enhance the morale of the woman teaching staff in keeping with the feminization of the teaching profession, 33.12%, the highest proportion of them responded that it was very desirable.
