- Jesus Christ to be called the teacher by many people and Jesus Christ was more respected by people than the leader and teacher, phraisee and scribe and received tradition and dignity. His teaching allowed the audience to confess that "His teaching"differs from that of phraisees and scribes.
A disciple is defined as a born-again Christian who is willing to resemble Jesus and through the procession of resembling Jesus, realizes the commission of evangelization and makes others receive Jesus and by doing so, keeps the continuity of evangelization and obeys Jesus' last command.
Jesus had unframed principles of disciples education, based on the discipleship originating in his nature personality, with which he educated his disciples and had them assimilate with him naturally.
His principles are as follows : the principles of selection to choose and educate disciples, the principle of community life to share his jots and sorrows and to be closely associated with them in order to transform them into nature men, the principle of teachings to teach them the truth and the overall subjects of human life, the principle of training of make disciples have the capacity of witnessing the gospel in the world, the principle of commission to commit his evangelical ministry to his disciples, the principle of dispatch to give disciples the mission of evangelization and send them to the world, and the principle of love to let them love one another with the love of agape and love all others.
Jesus came to the world with a clear purpose, on the basic of which he educate his disciples. He was an educator who achieved his own educational purpose exactly. His purpose of disciple education was to expand the kingdom of God full of righteousness and life and dominated by God's sovereignty, saving souls who are lost because of their sin and suffer from the pain of sin and death under the Satan, and enabling his disciple to give glory to God by carrying out the mission of evangelization and establishing church.
Jesus' educational content was the Old Testament, in which the law and the gospel were revealed. Jesus was the most authoritative exegete of the Old Testament. He regarded it as the source of his spiritual life and confirmed the fact that it is God's word inspired by the Holy Spirit. The spirit of the Old Testament was was contained in all of Jesus' teachings, which were about the gospel of good news to men from God's grace saving all mankind, about the kingdom of God that is getting accomplished by the coming of Jesus and will be completed by the second coming of Jesus and in which righteousness and life reign, about the paternity of God to be Father of the disciples, and about the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who would lead and teach the disciples on behalf of Jesus.
Jesus had a great influence on his disciples with his educational methods although he did not use educational terminology. One of the methods Jesus used was the verbal method which included the methods of discourse, question, answer, dialogue, and metaphor. Jesus could teach his disciples a lot of truths and their missions properly through these methods. Jesus also taught them that he is the Creator and Messiah working miracles in the realm of nature and human through the method of miracles. Through the method of examples, he taught the attitude of Christian life. Through the methods of events, he led his disciples to realize how to interpret events that happened around them to gain the spiritual knowledge of God's providence. Through the methods of nature, he let them recognize that God's providence is in control of the whole creation to teach them to trust only God. Through the methods of symbols, he taught the truth represented by the symbols in the audio-visual manner. Through the methods Scriptures, he taught his disciples the true meaning of the gospel in the Old Testament and the kingdom of God and educated them in accordance with Scriptures. Therefore, Scriptures might be called Jesus' textbook for disciple education.
