영상장치로서의 애니메트로닉스에 관한 연구

Abstract

우리는 풍부한 시각적 표현언어들을 위한 추구로 커뮤니케이션을 새롭게 만들어 발전 시켜가고 있다. 인간의 생리적 요소인 잔상을 이용하여 정지된 그림이나 상(像)을 움직여 보려는 꾸준한 노력으로 시각언어의 대표적 표현인 영상물이 존재해 왔다. 시각적 표현언어의 풍부한 생활문화를 위해 계속된 발전으로 빛과 그림자 등을 이용하여 움직임을 줄 수 있는 장치들을 만들었으며, 이러한 결과에 만족하지 않고 보다 자연스러운 움직임에 대한 연구와 실험들이 있어왔다. 혁신적인 혁명가, 흑은 영상표현의 개척자로 칭해지는 조르쥬 멜리에스 (Georges Melies)는 시각능력이 뛰어나 마음껏 뻗어나가는 상상력과 그 상상력을 표현할 수 있는 세부적인 묘사로서의 리얼리티까지 추구하고 있었다. 당시 그가 사용했던 표현의 방법들은 오늘날 특수효과로 구분이 되어졌으며, 이러한 과정에서 애니메트로닉스는 영상표현에 필요한 장치로서 연구가 되어지고 있다. 이에 따라 본문에서는 시각표현에 있어 완성도를 높여줄 수 있는 표현방법의 목적이 사실성이라는 점에서 활성화된 애니메트로닉스에 관하여 그림자 극에서 시작된 영상 장치부터 다루었으며 애니메트로닉스의 제작을 통하여 경제성 및 우리가 표현할 수 있는 범위에 대한 연구로 그 발전성을 제시하려는데 목적을 두었다. 또한 특수효과들에 의한 영상물이나 영화 그리고 P.O.P와 조형물 등의 결과적인 시각효과 표현들의 저변에 깔려 있는 심층적이고도 상징화된 의미를 찾아내는 것으로 동시에 그 상징화된 의미를 보다 일반화, 객관화 시켜 보고자 한다. 그리고 애니메트로닉스의 표현 범위를 영상에서뿐만 아니라 활용될 수 있는 범위까지 두어 그 이점에 대한 전략적인 면에서도 다루었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영상표현을 위한 장치로써 애니메트로닉스의 유형별 분류와 사용의 영역, 그리고 평면적인 표현에서 공간적인 표현의 시도로 애니메트로닉스의 표현과 다른 특수효과로부터 차별화하여 그 가치성을 높이고자 했다.|We have created and developed communication newly in pursuit of abundant visual expression language. Image materials, a representative expression of visual language, have existed with the constant effort moving stationary picture or portrait by using an afterimage, a physiological factor of man. With the continuous development for the abundant life culture of visual expression language, man has made device making motion by using light, shadow, etc, and not satisfied with these results, studied and experimented the more natural motion. Georges Melise called as an innovatory revolutionist, or the pioneer of image expression, even pursued reality as the imaginative power stretched to his satisfaction and the delicate description enabling to express such imaginative power with his excellent visual ability. The expression methods which he used at those days is classified as a special effect nowadays, and Animatronics in this process is studied as a device necessary for an image expression. So, in this text, I teated an image device begun in the poles of shadow about Animatronics utilized in the point that the purpose of expression method can raise the completion degree in visual expression, and aimed at presenting the possibility of development with the study on the economic profits and the expressed range through the production of Animatronics. In addition, I want to generalize and objectify the symbolized meaning simultaneously with finding the symbolized and in-depth meaning in the lowest stratum of resultant visual effect expression of image materials, movie, P.O.P, modelings, etc. by special effects. And I treated the strategic aspect on the benefit by setting the expression bounds of Animatronics even in the utilized image as well as image. Therefore, in this treatise, I intended to raise its value by drawing a distintion from the expression of Animatronics and other special effect through the classification by type, the use image of Animatronics as a device of image expression, and the trial from plane expression to special expression.
