열린교육에 對한 敎師들의 問題認識 및 改善方案 摸索 硏究

Abstract
The propose of this study is to improve conditions of Open Education that teachers are practicing for more effective Open Education. This study is done by reviewing many researches already done and analyzing the management of Open Education. In addition, questionnire survey was done by 400 teachers in model schools authorized by The Ministry of Education and The City of Seoul and the results are followings.
First, Open Education is not practiced effectively due to lack of teachers' training caused by the enlargement of Open Education. It is just a imitation of Open Education and not real Open Education. Therefore, serious problems that learner's abilities are not improved arise.
Second, materials and spaces for learning in Open Education are problems. Distribution of the materials and the information for preparing materials should be systematic based on the researches by specialists. It is necessary that researches should be done to utilize learning spaces more effectively in the consideration of our educational environments. When we consider our educational spaces, it is not able to enlarge the spaces. Therefore, it can be one way if we utilize the hallway or prepare material space for each grade. In addition, the investments by Administrative Officials are necessary.
Third, while most of teachers insist that each class should be consisted of 20 students to perform Open Education effectively, the other teachers think 30 students for one class are proper. Therefore, instead of consideration of reduction the number of students for each class, more effective ways of education should be developed to apply for the process of New Education Course in 2000s.
New Education Course which will be introduced in 2000s is student centered educational course based on two things such as the expansion of students' choice and introduction of variously leveled classes. When New Education Course and Open Education are compared, it is noticeable that Open Education is continuous issue in education not temporary one. Therefore, we should improve our educational environments as soon as possible to settle down our Open Education. It is fortune that depth training for Open Education will be held in Seoul Teacher's College and Seoul In-service Training Center for Teachers. It is advisable that many teachers should have a chance to get an in-service training for Open Education.
