싱글PPM 품질혁신활동이 경영성과에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 중소기업의 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동이 경영성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 것인지에 대한 연구를 하는 것으로, 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동의 관련 요인을 도출하고, 투입요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향, 투입요인이 산출요인에 미치는 영향, 산출요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 그리고 투입요인과 경영성과와의 영향 관계에서 산출요인의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 위해 대한상공회의소 싱글PPM품질혁신추진본부에서 주관하는 모기업 순회교육 및 싱글PPM 품질혁신 교육과정의 수강생을 대상으로 2014년 3월~5월까지 250부를 설문조사를 의뢰하여 이 중 설문지 데이터의 이상치 값을 제외하고 최종적으로 193부를 선정하였으며, 영향요인으로 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동과 관련하여 투입요인으로 리더십, 조직문화, 운영시스템의 3개의 요인, 산출요인으로는 공정혁신과 제품혁신의 2개의 요인 등 5개 요인변수와 경영성과를 사용하여 연구모형 및 가설을 설정하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 리더십요인과 운영시스템요인은 경영성과에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치나 조직문화요인은 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 리더십요인과 운영시스템요인은 공정혁신과 제품혁신에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치나 조직문화요인은 제품혁신에만 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공정혁신요인과 제품혁신요인 모두 경영성과에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 넷째, 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동의 투입요인인 리더십, 조직문화, 운영시스템과 경영성과간의 관계에서 투입요인 모두 공정혁신이 조절변수로서 작용하지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 제품혁신은 조직문화와 운영시스템에서 조절변수로서 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 경영성과를 향상시키기 위해서는 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동의 산출요인인 공정혁신, 제품혁신 향상을 위한 노력이 필요할 것이다. 이는 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동에 대한 경영진의 이해와 지속적인 참여 등 리더십을 통한 전문가 육성, 교육훈련 실행 및 전략과 연계하여 실행하는 것이 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 투입요인과 경영성과간의 영향관계에서의 제품혁신 성과가 좋을 경우 경영성과 향상에 더 많은 기여를 할 수 있다고 볼 수 있으므로 중소기업에서는 공정불량감소, 출하불량감소, 납품불량감소, 수율향상, 제품의 설계능력 향상, 제품의 신뢰성 향상 등 싱글PPM 품질혁신활동의 절실한 노력이 요구된다.|The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the Single PPM Quality innovation activities and Management Performance in the SME environment. We have derived the five related factors to contribute to the performance of Single PPM Quality innovation activities.

The core of this research has involved the development and testing of a comprehensive model for single PPM management performance, based on a combination of the five factors; 1) leadership, 2) organizational culture, 3) operation management, 4) process innovation and 5) product innovation. The basic research questions are explored: 1) Is input factors measured by leadership, organizational culture and operation management significantly related to overall management performance in the Single PPM environment? 2) What is the correlation between input factor and output factor 3) Does some combination of input and output dimensions better predict overall management performance with the Single PPM than either dimension separately?

The current research utilized as its target population 193 employees who are current users of a Single PPM for SMEs in Korea. The research validated the input factor (three dimensions) and output factor (two dimensions) by studying the relationship within the context of the Single PPM user population. Correlation was found between input factor and output factor, with four dimensions retained as components of a comprehensive model. It was determined that these four dimensions -leadership, operation management, process innovation, and product innovation- are significant predictor. Thus in order to improve management performance, SMEs should make effort to improve Process innovation and product innovation for the success of Single PPM Quality innovation activities.
