서울시 청소년수련관 여가활동프로그램의 개선방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 청소년수련관에서 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 학생과 1년 이상 근무경력을 가지고 있는 실무지도자를 대상으로 청소년수련관의 여가활동프로그램에 관한 의견을 조사 분석함으로서 청소년들의 여가생활을 위한 프로그램 개선방안을 모색한 연구이다. 이를 위해 서울시내에 있는 청소년수련관 7곳을 선정하여 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 중·고등학생 107명과 이들의 프로그램을 실제로 지도하고 있는 지도자, 그 중에서도 1년 이상의 경력을 가지고 있는 실무지도자 11명을 연구대상으로 하여 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 청소년수련관의 실무지도자를 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지도자의 전공부분을 살펴보면, 사회복지학전공이 가장 많고, 그 다음으로 '체육학', '행정학', '청소년학 '순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 여가활동프로그램이 왜 필요한가에 대한 물음에 '건전한 청소년문화의 재창조'라고 응답한 지도자가 가장 많았고, 유익한 활동 영역은 '자연체험활동'이라고 응답한 지도자가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 욕구반영 정도는 '약간 반영되고 있다'라는 응답이 가장 많았고, 욕구반영 방법은 '청소년들과 직접 대화한다'라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 넷째, 프로그램에 참여하는 청소년들의 어려움은 '시간의 부족'이라는 응답이 가장 많았고 프로그램을 실시하는 지도자들의 어려움은 '시설부족과 재정'에 따른 어려움이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 다섯째, 정보나 지식획득 방법으로는 '단체나 기관활동을 통해' 획득한다는 응답이 가장 많았다. 다음으로 청소년수련관의 여가활동프로그램을 이용하고 있는 청소년들의 설문조사를 한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여가시간을 어떻게 보내는가에 대한 응답은 중학생은 '음악 감상을 한다'가 가장 많았고, 고등학생은 '친구들과 같이 보낸다'가 가장 많았다. 그리고 'TV를 본다'순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 프로그램에 참여하게 된 동기는 '여가시간을 잘 보내기 위해'가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 참여해본 프로그램은 '봉사활동', 참여해 보고 싶은 프로그램은 '연극, 영화활동', 가장 좋아하는 프로그램은 '체육활동'이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 넷째, 욕구반영정도는 '조금반영 된다'는 응답이 가장 많았다. 다섯째, 프로그램에 참석하는데 따른 어려움으로 '활동시간의 부족'이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 여섯째, 도움이 되는 영역으로는 '친구를 사귀는 일'이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 일곱째, 만족에 대한 물음에서 시설만족과 프로그램의 종류와 내용의 만족에 대한 물음에서 중학생은 보통, 고둥학생은 '만족한다'라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 지도자만족에 대한 물음에서 중학생은 '만족한다', 고등학생은 '보통'이라고 응답한 학생이 가장 많았다. 앞에서 살펴본 연구결과를 기초로 하여 개선방안을 제시해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지도자의 전공에 관한 문제이다. 실무지도자를 채용할 때, 관련학과를 전공한 자를 채용해야 하고 부득이 다른 전공자를 채용할 때에는 청소년에 관한 지식을 습득시켜야 한다. 이를 위한 교육 체계가 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 청소년들의 욕구반영 정도에 관한 문제이다. 프로그램을 진행할 때에 청소년욕구를 잘 반영하지 않는다면 청소년프로그램이지만 청소년을 위한 프로그램이 아닐 수 있다. 모든 프로그램을 진행할 때에 청소년의 욕구가 잘 반영 되도록 노력해야 한다. 셋째, 청소년들의 욕구반영 방법에 관한 문제이다. 욕구를 반영하는데 있어서 청소년들과의 직접적인 대화만이 아닌 여러 가지 방법 즉, 공식적인 회의에 참여, 설문지를 통한 조사, 학생대표와의 접촉 등의 방법을 사용하여 청소년들의 욕구를 다각적으로 수렴하여야 한다. 넷째, 프로그램에 참여하는 청소년들의 어려움에 관한 문제이다. 청소년수련관만의 프로그램이 아닌 학교와 학부모와의 연계방안이 필요하다. 학교와 학부모에게 청소년 여가활동프로그램의 중요성을 인식시키고 학교수업 과정상에 있어서 적당한 시간을 할애하여 프로그램을 실시하여야 한다. 다섯째, 프로그램의 다양성에 관한 문제이다. 근래의 청소년들은 과거 청소년들과는 다른 욕구를 가지고 있다. 이 같은 상황에서 과거에는 뒷전으로 여겨왔던 영역들에 대해서도 건전한 방향으로 청소년에게 프로그램으로 실시할 필요가 있다. 변화하는 사회 속에서 청소년들의 욕구도 변화하고 있다. 이에 그 욕구에 적합한 프로그램을 다양하게 개발할 필요가 있다. 또한 근래의 청소년들이 흥미 없어하는 전통과 예절활동부분에 있어서도 그들이 흥미를 가지고 참여할 수 있도록 다각적인 접근방법을 개발하여야 한다. 여섯째, 정부차원의 지원문제이다. 청소년문제가 사회문제로 대두되며 인식되어 오고 있지만 그 문제를 해결하기 위한 정부차원의 지원은 미약하다. 이에 정부차원의 지원을 통해 필요한 인적, 물적 재원을 충족시켜야 한다. 일곱째, 지도자의 정보, 지식획득 방법에 관한 문제이다. 시대적 흐름과 상황에 적합한 지식, 객관적이고 이론적인 지식을 습득하기 위해서는 실무지도자 연수를 정기적으로 개최하고 참여해야 한다.|The purpose of this study is to suggest improved leisure activity program method for youth-center by collecting and analysing opinions of members and leaders who participate in a youth-center over one year. Among selected Seven youth-centers in Seoul, 107 middle school and high school students who were participating in the program and 11 leaders who were working there over one year were surveyed. The results of this study are as follows: The results of questionnaire on leaders who were working in youth-center are as follows: First, The majors of the leaders were Social Welfare was the most and Physical Education, Administration and Youth are following. Second, the necessity of leisure activity program was said in order to recreate healthy youth-culture and the most useful activity was told the experiencing nature activity. Third, the degree of reflection on desire was told that it is a little by most of the people and the method of reflection on desire was mostly told talking face to face with youth. Forth, the most difficulty for participating students in the program was an insufficiency of time and the difficulty for leaders was the poor facility and finance. Finally, the most information was gotten from group or national organization activities. The results of questionnaire on students who were participating in leisure activity program in youth-center are as follows: First, 'Listening music' was the most answer to spend leisure for middle school students and 'Spending time with friends' was the most answer for high school students. 'Watching TV' was the next. Second, the motive of participating in this program was 'Spending leisure worthily'. Third, the most program which they participated was 'Service Activity', the most program which they wanted to participate was 'Play or Film Activity' and the program which they liked most was 'Sports Activity'. Forth, the degree of reflection on desire was told that it is a little by most of the people. Fifth, the most difficulty in joining the program was 'Insufficient time for Activity'. Sixth, the most useful thing was 'Making Friend'. Finally, in degree of satisfaction about the facilities and programs, 'Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied' was answered by most middle school students and 'Satisfied' was answered by most high school students. In degree of satisfaction about the leaders, 'Satisfied' was answered by most middle school students and 'Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied' was answered by most high school students. The improved method by studying these results are as follows: First, when new leaders are recruited, someone who majored in this area should be recruited, the others should be taught about Youth and the system for this education should be readied otherwise. Second, well reflection of youth's desire is necessary, because the poor reflection couldn't be real youth's program. All of programs are tried to be reflected well. Third, in order to reflect youth's desire, not only is talking face to face with student conducted, but also joining a meeting with students, researching by questionnaire, contacting with representative of students and so on. Forth, difficulty of joining the programs should be solved by making the parents and teachers know the importance of leisure activity program for youth to school and conducting the program properly in school. Fifth, various programs should be developed, because these days youth's desires are different from they were before. A program which wasn't necessary to consider before should be dealt now. Traditional manner that most youths aren't interested in should be dealt as well. Sixth, government support should be sufficient, its support is insufficient and youth-problems are very serious social problems these days, therefore human resource and finance should be supported by government. Finally, leaders of youth-center should be taught new information and current knowledge by taking training regularly.
