保育施設 評價認證制에 關한 保育敎師의 認識 硏究
- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptional degree of childcare teachers on the evaluation-certification system of childcare institutions and diagnose the problem of evaluation- certification and find out its development scheme by surveying the opinions of childcare teachers on the field.
To attain the goal of this study, it attempted to establish the theoretical basis through related literature and articles and conducted the questionnaire research for 320 teachers working at the childcare institutions located in Seoul. The measurement instrument used for the purpose of this study was the questionnaire used by Jeon Mi-kyoung(2008), which was modified and complemented for this study. The data collected from the questionnaire research were analyzed by using the SAS System. Statistical analysis was conducted at the significance level of p<.05, p<.01, p<.001. One-way ANOVA was conducted to test study questions 1․4․5 and x2(chi-square) was used to test study questions 2 and 3. As a result, the following findings were obtained:
First, an attempt was made to investigate the degree of perception of teachers on the evaluation-certification system. As a result, it was found that the teachers with high educational level, long career, high license and high position had the high perception of the evaluation-certification system. This implies that the childcare teachers with low positions had the lowest perception of the evaluation-certification system. The childcare teachers actually living with children should exactly perceive the process of evaluation and certification, the items of indicators and the like. Even the evaluation and certification institution is not perceiving detailed guidelines changing little by little. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to publicize detailed guidelines and teacher education appropriate to teachers' level.
Second, perspective of the childcare teacher's role changed from the simple concept of care to the concept of education and recently into the integrated concept of ?care? and ?education?. Thus childcare teachers should accomplish a more complex role than before. And interests in the childcare program are gradually increasing, of the element of performing complex roles. Taking into consideration this situation, the development of diverse programs appropriate to each age continues to be studied and disseminated at the national level, and teacher education is needed.
And 'one-person observation' coming to a forefront as the problem of field-visit supervisory guidance and field observation cited as the example of effective assistance shows how important the role of the assistant and field observer is. Accordingly, it is necessary to reinforce education for assistant and field observers and acquire speciality so that they may perfectly understand diverse experiences and the characteristic of each childcare institution.
Third, an attempt was made to investigate the degree of perception on the indicators of evaluation and certification. As a result, the better educational environment can not simply have an effect on the problem of the environment alone but also seven domains of evaluation-certification indicators. That is because human beings want the better environment and can raise the efficiency of work when such a condition is met. The enhancement of work efficiency would naturally reduce teachers' turnover.
Fourth, an attempt was made to test the difference in the desirable incentive given to the certification institution. The group of participation in certification had the higher incentive than the group of non-participation. The teachers with high license had the high incentive and the director of the institution had the higher incentive than the group of the teachers. the bill to provide an incentive to good childcare institutions was legislated by introducing the disclosure system on the results of the evaluation and certification of childcare institutions in Apr 15, 2010. It is expected that any change will occur in the future.
