Abstract
This study was conducted targeting people who completed a training of a member company of Hwaseong Chamber & Commerce Industry to explore effects of leadership training program on job satisfaction and self-esteem, self-efficacy. Followings are results of this study.
Firstly, when analyzing differences in propriety and satisfaction of leadership training program by general characteristics of research participants, generally, men recognized it is proper for them and were satisfied with leadership training program more than women.
Secondly, when analyzing differences in self-esteem by general characteristics of research participants, board members had higher self-esteem than employees in positions below middle executives in the scope of recognition of other people. Also, in the cognitive scope, men, people who graduated from universities, and board members had higher self-efficacy than women, people graduating from high schools and employees in other positions. In the emotional scope, men and board members had higher self-efficacy than women and people in other positions. Lastly, in the social scope, board members had higher self-efficacy than positions below middle executives. In relation to differences in job satisfaction, men were satisfied with their tasks, work environment and team work more than women. Especially, board members had higher satisfaction of team work than other positions.
Thirdly, it was found that there was a positive correlation among every variable.
Fourthly, in this study, every hypothesis was proven to be right, when verifying them. That is, leadership training program took positive effect on self-esteem, self-efficacy and job satisfaction, and of them, self-esteem and self-efficacy had positive effect on job satisfaction. In particular, self-esteem had the biggest influence on job satisfaction, followed by leadership training program and self-efficacy.
