노인주간보호시설 이용자의 욕구만족에 관한 실증적 연구

Abstract

Korea accounts for 7.2 percent of the whole people as it has the old population of 3.39million persons in the year 2000, so that the society of an advanced age already approached. It is expected to account 15.1% of the whole people as it has the old population of 7.67million persons in the year 2020. Especially, it gradually increases in the old's problems of economy and nund by increasing of the number of the old, and it has a weakness of fnction to the supporting the old by a family owing to a great change of circumstances in constructive and functional aspects. And an issue about supporting and protection for the old is on the rise as a social problem due to increasing of the old's sole household. Thus, it emphasizes a welfare for the old staying at home to settle a rapidly increase in the old problem. Also, first of all the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center add the importance for it needs to establish not a long-term camp but a potential protective facilities as a middle form of home because of an occurrence a potential un-cared-for reason by increasing in a working couple, a chronic degenerative disease, an official trip due to increasing in women following society and the old's sole household in accordance with the conspicuous trend toward nuclear families. This thesis has found out the old's needs to make the old who uses the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center at present an object of scientific study and found out the actual conditions and problems of the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center at present by analyzing a satisfactory degree of service in accordance with economical factors, family status, an ability of everyday life accomplishment and ages Accordingly, the purpose of thesis is to provide a characterful service of individuation for the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center by proposing a complementary measure in order to satisfy the old's needs and a plan for improvement of an operation of the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center. As a result of the study, most of clients of the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center has used a service for an exercise function recovery of physical check(93.75%), treatment of heating(91.67%), music·program of entertainment(87.92%), birth & feast in honor of the aged(94.79%), meal(96.87%), training of physical strength(91.67%). The highest satisfactory degree of the old has shown 4.83 on the basis of 5 points for the service of meals. The others it has shown a high satisfactory degree in treatment of heating, service of barber & hairdresser, service of welcome & send-off, common bath, physical treatment, physical check. And the reason that has shown a high satisfactory degree in treatment of heating, physical treatment and physical check is because of a reflection of the old's great desire for health. And it has shown that there are some differences in a satisfactory degree the economical factors (Existence or non existence to a charge of use), the state of a family(Existence or non existence to lodgers), an ability of everyday life accomplishment and by ages. Therefore, there seems to develop a program and execute it by considering an effect on a satisfactory degree of the program from such factors. The thesis has pointed out as the best important improvement and a complementary measure in the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center was an enlargement and high-classed quality to the facilities, it suggests that it has to become established not as the simple use facilities for the weak old without dependents but as the positive welfare facilities capable of help an ability of the old's recovery in order that they could unite with community in a private aspect. The old who use the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center generally content themselves with a present state but it seems not to supply them with a sufficient service being caused by an indiscrimination service and a short using time due to a small facility. Therefore, First, An enlargement of facilities : Security of exclusive areas, necessary facilities and equipments. Second, The heightening of service access : enlargement of use time, program of weekend, opening of night program, executing of the daytime protective service and enlargement of its place. Third, Security of fund : Request for financial assistance from Government, Enterprise, Private organization, Religious organization, and so on. Fourth, Improvement of recognition and positive public relations to activate the daytime protective service. Fifth, A development of the daytime protective program reflected client's desire at the best we could. Sixth, it has to become the welfare facilities in order that the old could live in the communities happily, and the old's basic needs could content themselves with the Senior Citizen's Day Care Center through characterized and individual service in accordance with a private individual.
