老人綜合福祉館 社會敎育 프로그램 改善方案에 관한 硏究

Abstract

In this thesis, I will examine the present condition of social education by investigating the utilization of the general welfare facilities for the aged as a social education program, point out its problems after analysing the program, and consider its improvement method of the general welfare facilities for the aged as a social education program. I surveyed 180 old men using more than one social education program in 5 general welfare facilities for the aged opened in Seoul before 1999 and each organization's staffs taking charge of social education program. All the data collected was analysed by the technical statistical method using SPSS WIN 10.0 program. The result of this research is as following; First, the activation of health improvement program is needed. All the welfare facilities have various programs and procedures and the rate of utility is high. But this research shows that there is no differentiation between the programs and no massive participation of group. Also, there is a problem related to small places and safety. In conclusion, it is essential to develop the programs for health improvement based on sex, age, and health level. All the aged should be able to choose suitable programs among many differentiated programs for themselves without any burden. Second, the activation of the general education curriculum program is need. Even though language programs such as Korean, English and Japanese are activated and the rate of utility is high, the general education curriculum has many problems including the deficiency of the program and the professional instructor. These problems should be solved. Third, the activation of hobby and leisure programs is needed. Though the programs for hobby and leisure are developed much better than any other social educational institution, the instructors directed the courses by themselves without enough interaction with the aged. The aged just follow the instructor's directions passively. Therefore, we should develop more various program to induce the aged's active participation and prepare the spacious place for all the aged to come together. Finally, the activation of the special event programs is needed. As the old men tend to prefer the special event program such as the aged's festival, birthday party, travel and sightseeing, we should develop more various special event programs only for the aged to help their communication and induce their enthusiastic participation.
