老人의 餘暇活動 活性化 方案 硏究

Abstract

As our society is advancing into an old society, various problems related to the elderly emerge. Particularly, as many elderly are alienated to spend time alone due to urbanization and increasing nuclear families, their use of leisure time becomes the most important elderly's problem. Under such circumstances, this study was aimed at reviewing the conditions and problems of elderly's use of leisure time and thereby, suggesting the ways to activate their leisure life. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, in order to activate the leisure life at elderly's welfare centers, it is necessary to expand the facilities of the centers, develop a variety of leisure activity programs and recruit the welfare specialists. Second, in order to operate the elderly's welfare centers more efficiently, it is essential to reorganize them effectively. Third, it is deemed necessary to develop diverse programs suitable to the regional conditions and meet elderly's leisure activity needs. Fourth, it is also necessary to integrate the organizations related to volunteer services across the ministries. And the integrated organization should be interlocked institutionally with various volunteer service activities. The leisure facilities discussed here are not wholly but partly used by the elderly. Because there are few other welfare programs, the elderly use them much. Rather, it may well be more important to study elderly's leisure activities at elderly's welfare facilities or various elderly's concentration facilities. In this vein, it is hoped that future studies will focus not only on the prevalent elderly's welfare centers or elderly's classrooms but also on more diverse and advanced leisure facilities.
