국·공립 어린이집 보육교사의 직무만족도에 관한 연구

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present the fundamental information for improving the condition of employment of teachers in the public child educare center and to grope for alternatives throughout looking for the conditions to do their works with the sense of job satisfaction.
To accomplish the objective of this study, I made up some questions about their general social positions, working conditions, and their sense of job satisfactions based on the general social positions and the working conditions. The interrelations between the factors that affect the job satisfaction are included, too.
Questionnaire survey to teachers who presently work for the national and the public child educare center was carried out at Gangdong-Gu, Gangbuk-Gu, Nowon-Gu, and Chungnang-Gu in Seoul during Sept.16 to Oct. 18. The answers from the 201 teachers were collected and analyzed by a statistical program, SPSS(Statistica1 Package for the Social Sciences).
While the Second-rate licensed teachers and the two-year college graduates who made a special study of related preschool education put their sense of job satisfaction in the highest level, the teachers who have the first-rate qualified license of kindergarten and the others who have graduated from university with majors in preschool education expressed their satisfaction the lowest level.
Most teachers answered their office hours 10∼12 hours a day without overtime payment. they felt the ratio of teacher to children needs to be adjusted appropriately to reduce the amount of work and the relatively low salary compared to their specialty.
To improve job satisfaction of teachers from this study, systematical complement such as putting into a part-time teacher or introducing two shifts system should be pushed forward to avoid a excessively heavy work in time and volume. Appropriate arrangement of a salary scale to professional teacher, adjustment of the ratio of teacher to children at present, support to improve teacher specialization, support to put into a substitute teacher, backup a welfare facilities for teacher are seriously required.
