Abstract

Church administration can be defined as every activity of organization and operation in all fields of the church. That is to say, it means administrative activity for achieving the whole church ministry. The word "administrate" is derived from "administare" in Latin and its meaning ; to serve. Accordingly, in the respect of service this administration contans not only the subject of administration but also the object and process of administration. Futhermore, in a sense of political administration, administration achieves a common purpose and a public aim of all society and promotes therational and collective cooperation among members of the society to realize social justice. In order words, it means "decision and cocretion of public policy of achieving public interest, social justice, social equality and cooperative group-action in poiltical situation. In the respect of service, it may be said that there is no difference between public administration and church administration. In fact the foundation of all church administration must be based on the christian faith and the believer's belief. For the only purpose of church administration achieves the aim of the church in which reborne people gather and form. This is a reason why theological dimension always accompanies with church administration. This theological study provides the aim of church administration and of the same time indicates the limit of its method. If church politics forms the most authoritative decision and anthority of accomplishment of church opinion, church administration is understood as its concrete realiz ation and its process of accomphishment of church opinion under the condition of such church politics. Therefore , church administration needs skills and efficiency of management, orgainzation and personal in order to accomplish its task that realize and charge the aim and opinion of church. No matter how the size of church may be, even a small church, modern church needs various structure and organization. Especially, since church sets up its purpose of administration with believers and relates its organization to it, it needs the authority of administration and manages the organization in order to achieve its purpose. However, church administration can not be by itself the aim of the church, but the means of the church for achieving effectively the aim of worship, missionary work and only service to God. On the other hand, we sometimes pray the lord's prayer without attention even though it comprehends all thoughts and lessons of christianity. Today all member of the church pray the lord's prayer when their worship. Since the lord Jesus Christ teaches this prayer to his disciples, there is no more perfect exemple of prayer than this. Nevertheless, when christian believers pray lord's prayer, how much do the pray to the lord in heaven so that they may sincerely comprehend the contents and meaning of the prayer? In the case of worship without the pastors benediction believers recite habitually lord's prayer at the end of the service as a necessary order when there is worship or meeting, but they need to hold their new understanding and study about the lord's prayer. The author takes the text of the Lord's prayer from the contents of The Gospel of Matthew, and investigates five item into fine items according to the heidelberg catechism : authority and obediency, the divine right and human rights, productivity, democracy and philanthropy, the limit of human capability in relation to administrative idea. In conclusion, the study of the plan of democratization of church administration investigates administrative idea of christianity through the analysis of the Lord's prayer, and at the same time investigates humanization of authory, ignorance of productivity, the aspect of christian selfishness, faith without action, the absolutization of minister' s authority in the name of the lord's prayer the democratic present condition of Korean church administration. In order to solve the problems, the anthor argues that it is necessary to take the plan of democratization of church administration : that is to say, distinction between the authority of God and authority of the human, activation of production for social salvation, the practical movement of human respect, and elimination of church centered almighty thought a proper approach to those problems can be possible through the democratization of church administration.
