교회사회복지사업의 개선방안에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- As the christian covers more than a quarter of Korean population, the role of churches in social welfare field is constantly increasing. As a result, many christians work in social welfare fields such as non-profit organizations, welfare centers, churches following the teaching of christian principles. The purpose of this study is to examine and evaluate the role of christians in christian welfare principles.
Below conditions are necessary to achieve the successful welfare business of the churches.
First, through various local welfare businesses, the churches should contribute to the local residents' ideal life.
Second, the welfare businesses of the churches should be united.
Third, professional education organization should be established.
Fourth, more flexible and open minded approach to the non-christian organizations is necessary.
Fifth, systematic plan and practical volunteerism should be well balanced.
Ideal proposal of churches'role for the welfare business are as below,
First, every church has to have the splrit of services to all the people.
Second, the welfare businesses of churches should progress. Churches should criticize conventional problems and propose alternative plans.
Third, on the basis of love, welfare businesses of churches should be managed more systematically.
Fourth, churches should be aware of current situations of both internal and external resources such as human, capital resources for local welfare businesses.
Fifth, experts' participation is essential in the progress of planning and fromoting welfare businesses.
As more churches start to particlpate in the welfare business in various forms, their role in local welfare business is increasing. By the abovc suggestions, this study expects christians to play more important and active role in welfare field, spreading the 'light' of Jesus christ and practising 'love' of Jesus christ.
