Abstract

Owing to the steep industrialization, development of medicine, economic growth, and the improvement of a standard of education since 20th century, the interests for the importance and the value of environment has been steeply increased. Jumping on this social changes, it is worthy of note that a number of requirements has been occurred for choosing the dwelling form. These tremendous interest about the 'health' has derived the term, 'well-being', over whole field of our life, and 'LOHAS' which asks what consequences its way of consuming and living has for itself and the environment. As a result, discussing the life of human-being, we have no choice but to make mention of the term, 'health' of which concept includes the quality of the dwelling environment as well as the promotion of physical health of a private person. Health-dwelling is an environmental-friendly dwelling which can improve the quality of the life based on the combination of the adequate status of dwell environment, facilities, structure, material, and space optimization to enhance health of dwellers and the adjacent circumstance. It has been expanded to the environmental-friendly dwell, ecological dwell, well-being dwell, and ubiquitous dwell. Also, it includes the whole consideration at the planning step of a dwelling complex or a building as well as the maintenance of nature environment. Therefore, it is not a simple arrangement of building but a consideration for physical, psychological, and social identity of the dwellers by attempting the harmony of the private person and environment. Since the health dwelling has been spreaded rapidly based on the tremendous interests, differentiated methodology including approaches from various angles should be needed in order to apply the health-dwelling in our real life. The procedure of this study is as below: ① Defining the concept of healthy eco dwelling through document considerations ② Investigating paradigm of healthy eco dwelling by two types of categories ③ Deriving the feasible factors of healthy eco dwelling through domestic and foreign preceding studies and cases ④ Analyzing significance and priority of the practical criteria which is obtained users' questionnaire using analytic hierarchy process(AHP) Consequently, this study has been performed to find the regional satisfaction for the present dwelling and to analyze the significance and the priority of the practical criteria. Especially, based on the minute investigation for the items concerning in health and the analysis for the past and the present of health-dwelling, the health-dwelling in the future has been proposed.
