크로스 플랫폼 게임의 발전 방향에 대한 연구

Abstract

디바이스의 변화를 기준으로 게임 플랫폼은 아케이드에서 콘솔, PC, 모바일로 발전해왔다. 모바일 단말 기술, 무선 네트워크 기술의 발전 및 코스트 다운과 더불어 등장한 모바일 소셜 네트워크 게임과 멀티 플랫폼 게임, 크로스 플랫폼 게임의 사례기반 비교 분석을 통해 스마트 빅뱅 이전의 초기 멀티 플랫폼 게임들과 비슷한 게임이 현재 스마트폰용 게임으로 개발되어 서비스되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 퍼즐 버블, ZooKeeper, 테트리스 같은 게임들을 사례로, 기존의 게임과 스마트폰용으로 개발된 게임을 비교해 본 결과 ①게임 콘텐츠를 구매 혹은 설치(아케이드의 경우 한 판의 게임을 시작)시에 비용을 지불하는 방식에서 콘텐츠의 설치에는 비용이 발생하지 않지만 콘텐츠에서 일부 서비스에 과금 요소를 넣은 In App Purchase 방식으로의 변화, ②구매 및 설치시의 비용을 지불하면 게임 이용시간의 제약이 없는 방식에서 이용 횟수에 제한을 둔 구조로의 변화, ③단일 이용자가 게임안의 목적을 달성하는 형식에서 이용자간의 점수 경쟁을 유도하는 구조로의 변화를 알 수 있었다. 현재 서비스되고 있는 소셜 네트워크 게임들은 대다수가 기존에 있었던 게임들을 리메이크하거나 그와 유사하게 개발되고 있는 경향이 보인다. 또 타 디바이스 기반 게임들에 비해 상대적으로 용량이 적고 조작이 어렵지 않은 ‘캐쥬얼’게임의 특징을 가진 게임들이 대부분이다. 이런 게임들은 소셜 네트워크를 이용하는 비 게임 이용자들의 유입을 성공시켜 게임 이용자층의 확산에 기여한 반면, 기존의 매니아 이용자층은 상대적으로 깊게 몰입하지 못하고 콘텐츠 소모가 빠른 편이다. 또, 소셜플랫폼을 이용하는 이용자간의 교류를 유도하는 시스템 ‘친구 초대’의 변질로 인한 문제에 대한 대책이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 크로스 플랫폼 게임의 경우 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있지만 제조, 유통사간의 협력 없이는 현세대기종과 차세대기종간의 소극적 크로스 플랫폼에 그치고 말 것이다. 기종간의 다른 조작방식과 조작감은 스포츠, 격투, 대전 등의 대결구도를 가진 멀티플레이 게임에서 상대적으로 특정 기종에서 유리한 경우가 발생할 수 있어 그에 대한 대책이 필요하다. 초기 멀티 플랫폼 게임 중, 특정 리듬게임의 경우 아케이드와 콘솔 등의 멀티 플랫폼 게임으로 발매가 되었는데, 이용자는 아케이드 기판과 유사한 컨트롤러를 선택적 구매가 가능했다. 따라서 크로스 플랫폼을 통해 다양한 디바이스와 단말로 제공되는 게임에서 조작성의 차이로 인한 갈등은, 프리프로덕션 단계에서 크로스 플랫폼을 염두해 디자인할 때 각 디바이스, 단말에 연결해 사용할 수 있는 크로스 플랫폼 컨트롤러의 개발도 하나의 방법으로 제시할 수 있다.| On the base of the change in the device, game platform has been developed in order of arcade, console, PC, mobile. Social Network Game emerged by the development of cellphone & wireless network technology and the cost reduction. Through the comparative study of SNG and multi platform game, the similarity between SNG and early multi platform game was discoverd come to the conclusion that similarity between SNG and early multi platform game. For example, as a result of compare between series of Puzzle Bubble, ZooKeeper, and Tetris, the change of one contents purchase model to the way in app purchase and the change of appeared the limit in number of times by the use of two games were could be known. Now released SNG is almost all casual game the capacity is small and not complex to control, and by the cause of these character it contributes to inflow of the user has no experience of the play game, and to increase the hierarchy of the game user. On the other hand, the hierarchy of pre-existing user of mania relatively are not able to deep immersed in the game, and contents are t wasted quickly. And, measures to turn into the system of 'friedns invitation' using SNS clique are needed. Cross-platform games, without cooperation between each makers and distributers, should be come to an end the passive cross-platform games despite of diversity trial. Besides, the differences of each equipment's operation method could cause unequal result in multi player games have confrontation structure such as sports, fights, competition, etc. To solve this problem, in each equipment such as exclusive controller, rhythm games launched as a multi-platform games of pre-existing arcae-console, for the use of controller of the same structure could be suggested.
