중국 IT 산업과 각국의 중국 시장 진출 현황
- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to review the Chinese IT market which grows rapidly, and thereby, examine some desirable strategies of advancing into the Chinese IT market for the Korean companies by reviewing Samsung's CDMA business in China and other successful cases and addressing the problems.
The strategies for the Korean IT businesses to advance into the Chinese market can be summed as follows;
First, it is necessary to design a longer-term and comprehensive plan. To this end, it is essential to establish a cooperative system among industry, academy, research institute and government, each of which is obliged to play their role faithfully.
Second, a region-wise differentiation strategy is required.
Third, it is necessary to adjust the strategies among businesses by industry.
Although our global display companies are rushing to China, it is required to design some differential strategies by device.
In e-commerce industry, the infrastructure seems to be still poor, it is desirable for domestic e-commerce businesses to join hands with Chinese partners in such areas as solution, technology, shopping mall knowhow, logistics and delivery system and reinvest the profits in their e-commerce businesses to have them established in the Chinese market.
In addition, it is important for domestic IT businesses to selectively adopt the strategies fitting their developmental cycles, and in order to sharpen their price competitive edges, it is necessary for them to increase their investment meeting the requirement of a economy of scale and localize the production thoroughly to save the cost.
